CLAIMS & PREDETERMINATIONS
MOD Practice makes it simple. You treat the patient and then generate the claim with any necessary x-rays attached. We log in and make sure all of your claims are correct (payor, coding, required x-rays/narratives,) and then submit electronically. If it happens to be one of the few insurance companies that aren’t utilizing electronic claims, we’ll mail it the good old fashioned way. Also, if a claim is missing a required x-ray, we’ll send a little reminder note so we can get the claim submitted as soon as possible without concern for appeal.
APPEALS & AGING CLAIMS
Our ultimate goal is to avoid an appeal but if a claim is denied for any reason, we will immediately submit an appeal. Aging insurance claim reports are worked weekly to resolve the appeal in the minimal amount of time.
MODPractice will also work to reduce your aging claims in addition to submitting new claims. Any aging claims currently pending in your practice will be worked weekly to get those claims paid!
VERIFICATIONS, STATEMENTS, & COLLECTIONS
VERIFICATIONS & ELIGIBILTY
Electronic verification of benefits and eligibilty is available with most major PPO plans for flat fee of $2.99 per verification. A fee of $5.99 will be charged per verification that cannot be verified electronically.
MONTHLY STATEMENTS
MODPractice is happy to send statements to your patients. By utilizing predeterminations and collection co-payments at the time of service, you can greatly reduce the number of monthly statements you need to send. However, we’re happy to help you out with the straglers.
COLLECTIONS
MODPractice also offers assistance with collections on past due accounts. We will send (3) emails and (3) letters in addition to phone calls. If your patient does not contact us to make payment arrangements, we will update your practice so you can proceed with more agressive collection efforts if you choose to.
